WHAT HAPPENED?
The Brazilian was beaten to the 2024 Ballon d'Or by City's star midfielder Rodri and refused to attend the awards ceremony in France as a result. This provoked a banner from City's fans, on Tuesday during Real Madrid's visit to the Etihad Stadium for their Champions League play-offs clash, reading 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'. Vinicius Jr then produced a Man Of The Match performance in Los Blancos' comeback 3-2 victory.
